We Are
Holy Street Outreach International is a non-profit organization dedicated to reach out to children and youth slum communities, in schools and Refugee settlements.
Our mission is to empower them to identify their Purpose in life through sports, primarily basketball. We aim to Restore Hope, Transform Lives, and Develop Talent. We currently run our basketball programs under an academy called Holy Street Basketball
Academy in four slum areas of Kampala: Kamwokya, Kawempe, Katanga, and Naguru Go-Down and one refugee settlement in Nakivale in western Uganda.
WHERE WE SERVE
We serve in slum communities. Right in the city of Kampala, there are many slums, all these we serve in the slums Kamwokya, Kawempe, Katanga, and Naguru Go – Down. These areas are characterized by abject poverty, poor waste disposal, non – existent sewage systems, poor housing conditions, drug and alcohol abuse, prostitution, and a very high school dropout rate. Such conditions are not suitable for children, to grow up and thrive
